There were missteps here and there, to be sure. This show has brains, soul, and a big heart.
Star trek online review 2018 series#
At its best, Discovery surprised and moved me in ways that very few freshman series manage to do. I thought Star Trek: Discovery delivered the strongest first season overall since the original series, which premiered on NBC almost 52 years ago, and that, on evidence of this first run of episodes, it could be one of the all-time greats if it plays its cards right. To paraphrase what people tell me every time they disagree with one of my reviews, I feel like we saw two different shows. In the hours since the season-one finale ended with the hasty brokering of Klingon-Federation peace and the partial redemption of mutineer and heroine Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green), I’ve seen mostly expressions of disappointment or outright hostility, mingled with affection for certain characters, moments, and episodes.

I’ll be curious to see how consensus shakes out on Star Trek: Discovery, the first new Trek TV series since Enterprise. attack those bullet points systematically until that goal is reached one item at a time.Sonequa Martin-Green in Star Trek: Discovery. The purpose of PR is to strategize, put a realistic plan together, and then. If you fall into that category, it's time to stop dreaming and start doing. Then there are those poor unfortunate souls who've been trying their entire adult life to achieve (what their colleagues and friends say) is an impossible feat. Others have a storage room filled with unfinished projects. Stop dreaming and start doing? I know people who've been writing their book for 10 years. Let your audience learn from you, and don’t be afraid to broadcast why YOU are so unique! Engage. With so much social media, reality hype it’s imperative that you and your brand stand as a beacon in the murky fog. Tell your story. Share your experiences. One of the things reputable PR firms tell their clients is “Don’t get lost in the shuffle.” What does that mean? There are so many ideas, brands, entertainers, bloggers, etc… How can you separate yourself from the rest? How can you stand out when you’re drowning in a sea of “wannabes?” Everybody has a back story, and it’s yours to tell if you choose.

We sat down with Masterson to talk about reprising the role of Leeta, the continuation of Deep Space Nine, the benefits of maturity, and how we all can be heroes. Masterson has since gone on to act in many TV shows and movies, perform as a jazz singer, and found an anti-bullying organization called Pop Culture Hero that uses film, comics, and TV to take a stand against bullying in schools and communities. With the heavy Deep Space Nine focus on the game’s third expansion, it’s good to see the reunion of a cast from a show that’s now 25(!) years old. Chase Masterson is back for at least her third stint in the MMO, having played fan favorite Leeta in past updates (including as a hologram and as a Mirror Universe villain). With a dozen members of the all-star cast of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine returning to reprise their roles for this June’s Star Trek Online: Victory is Life, one actress has the advantage over the others.
